  • Yin yoga is the calming practice of passive postures with longer holds of 3-5 minutes at a time, focusing on the connective tissues of the body (fascia). We have become an extremely yang health culture and as a result, the need for yin-focused practice has become increasingly popular (and necessary). 

    You don’t necessarily need to have the yearning to teach (although that’s great too!), just an openness to fully immerse yourself in the practice of yoga.

    This 30-hour online/interactive immersion training is designed for both 200-hour certified yoga instructors and dedicated yoga students looking to dive more deeply into the powerful practice of Yin Yoga. 

    During this immersion you will explore:

    • The history and philosophy of traditional Yin Yoga
    • Detailed posture study of well over 30 Yin Yoga poses along with variations and modification suggestions
    • Effective use of props: blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and the wall
    • How to safely and creatively sequence and cue a yin yoga class
    • How you can incorporate energetic anatomy into yin yoga principles through the Chakras and Meridians
    • Incorporating meditation and mantras into your practice and classes
    • The physiology of breathwork as it relates to yin yoga, with guest instructor Ruth Paulauskas of BreathWoRx.com

  • Andrea Lacey Campbell, ERYT, YACEP

    Andrea’s love for yoga began with hot vinyasa based yoga, but has evolved into a deep passion for the quiet and cool yin yoga practice. Andrea first came to yoga as a cross country runner whose knees were crying out for a change, and a corporate worker whose stress levels had reached their limit. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Andrea understands that there is so much more to yoga than the physical benefits, and is fascinated with the immense power of yin yoga and meditation for mental wellness, stress reduction, and self fulfillment. Yoga has been the very essence of her physical and mental health and it is her passion to teach and share her experiences and knowledge with her students through studio and online classes, workshops and teacher trainings.    

     

  • Ruth Paulauskas, RYT, Breath Coach, BreathWoRx

    Harness the power of the breath to manage stress, improve posture and build strength. Through the use of breathing techniques and yin yoga poses you can build a strong physical foundation. Ruth first discovered the connection of mind and body as an equestrian coach and trainer, but through yoga she has gained a deeper understanding of that connection. Ruth started BreathWoRx to target both stress management and inner core strength. Mind and body are balanced through yin and restorative yoga and she leads mindfulness workshops and trainings using the power of breath as a way to remain present.
